We are Florence and Anaïs, the two founders of this beautiful educational adventure.

At six years old, I would tell anyone who would listen: “One day I will have my own school.”
I always knew my place would be with children, in the world of education. Very early on, Montessori pedagogy became an obvious choice for me. I was deeply touched by Maria Montessori’s caring approach, which invites each child to reveal their potential and grow at their own pace. Because education is close to my heart, I chose to train with the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), a reference in this field. For nearly 15 years, I have been accompanying children in their discovery of the world through Montessori pedagogy. As a Montessori educator, my greatest joy is seeing each child grow, marvel, and develop their autonomy day by day. These are the moments that give meaning to my profession.

My journey is different but equally passionate. With nearly 20 years of experience in the corporate world, I have always enjoyed organizing, structuring, and supporting projects that are close to my heart. But what truly led me here was a very personal experience: Florence was the Montessori educator of my daughter. I saw her flourish, develop her knowledge, curiosity, desire to learn, and self-confidence. I was able to observe her evolution, not only in her learning but also in her interactions with others and the world around her—in an empathetic and respectful manner.
I discovered Florence’s great human and pedagogical qualities, and a conviction was born in me: what my daughter had the chance to experience, I wanted to offer to a greater number of children.
By partnering with Florence in this adventure, I found my place: ensuring that the school runs harmoniously so that the educational team can fully dedicate themselves to what is essential—the children.

Together,
we dreamed and then created Être et Devenir: a profoundly human Montessori school, aligned with our common values. Here, we cultivate kindness, respect, communication, and cooperation. Our wish? To offer children a space where they can flourish, learn, grow, while developing their curiosity and self-confidence at the gates of Grenoble.
And because education is a path we travel together, we want you, parents, to feel fully welcomed in this adventure. Your role is essential, and we are happy to co-create, alongside you, the future of your children.
For us, supporting children today also means planting the seeds of tomorrow’s society.
That’s why we want to open them up to the world around them, to cultural differences, to nature, to others—with respect for everyone. This is our way of acting for the future: by helping each child become a curious, confident, and empathetic citizen.
